ace all-stars

Since 1992, Ace Hardware has been a dedicated partner of Kapiolani Medical Center, Hawaii’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Ace Hardware has a tradition of choosing a pediatric patient, or Miracle Kid, to be the company’s “All-Star” each year to serve as an ambassador.

In 2018, Ace chose two Kauai brothers and Kapiolani patients, Kapono and Duke Pavao, as that year’s All-Stars. Both boys have severe hemophilia A, a condition that prevents their blood from clotting as quickly as other people.

Ace Hardware and Kapiolani are proud to have had the Pavao brothers represent Hawaii and the nation as Ace All-Stars. May these All-Star brothers, along with their brother Keoni, remind us all to be brave, smile and live life to the fullest!
