Leila-Rose's Heart Journey

When Leila-Rose was born, doctors at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children noted that she had a very fast heart rate. After Leila-Rose was admitted to Kapiolani’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, she was diagnosed with two congenital heart defects. At just five months old, Leila-Rose flew to the Mainland for open-heart surgery.
