Mahalo Walmart 2020

Haumea Friel is Kapiolani Children’s Miracle Network Champion for 2020. Haumea has triumphed over adversity when it comes to what she calls her “super leg.” She even named her prosthetic “Sparkle.” She is a big fan of Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs in Hawaii and shares this message with their associates who work hard every day to support her and other keiki across the state.

To date, Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, members and customers in Hawaii have raised millions of dollars for Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, most of it one dollar at a time. On a national level, Walmart and Sam’s Club have raised more than $1 billion for CMN Hospitals; the largest cash amount ever raised by one company for a nonprofit in North America.

All Hawaii Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs engage in fundraising campaign to help Kapiolani treat local children who are sick or injured. All money raised during the Hawaii CMN Hospitals campaign directly benefits Kapiolani to fund critical treatments, pediatric medical equipment, research and charitable care.
