The next chapter of cancer care at Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children is inspired by a beloved leader who embodied the mission of creating a healthier Hawaiʻi. Martha B. Smith, Kapiʻolani’s late chief executive officer, was truly dedicated to serving the medical needs of our community. She worked tirelessly to create a place where women and children across Hawaiʻi and the Pacific could come for treatment.

Martha’s legacy will live on through the new Martha B. Smith Cancer & Infusion Center at Kapiʻolani. Once completed, it will offer the highest level of cancer care to women and children statewide.
