Music and Medicine in Harmony
Bruce Naluai, an ʻukulele musician with the renowned Hawaiian music group, Vaihi, was at the top of his career when he started having a nagging cough, during which his arm would frequently go numb and become unresponsive for a time. One day while driving to a performance, his vision failed. The next day, he called in sick and went to Straub Benioff’s Kailua clinic to see Dr. Leihualani Concepcion. After several tests he was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma, a form of cancer.
