Pali Momi Medical Center is bringing life back to people dealing with morbid obesity and the restrictions it puts on one’s ability to live the life you want to live. Jeff Lono was morbidly obese and missing out on actively participating in life with his family. He had always dreamed about coaching paddling and sharing his love of the sport and his knowledge of the ocean, but his weight left him sitting on the sidelines; he couldn’t even fit in a canoe.
His family encouraged him to seek help for his weight and to this day, they continue to be his biggest support system.
